As a part of their Term 3 Poetry unit, our Year 7 students recently wrote about the meaning and connections they hold with specific places. After observing the College grounds for inspiration, the students used poetic devices such as imagery, metaphor and alliteration to capture their experiences.
Once their poems were compiled, the students translated their work to the Yugambeh Language, acknowledging and paying respect to the traditional language speakers of this land.
Following are some examples of the places that our students drew inspiration from.
