Year 1 Recreate Mr Men and Little Miss

As part of their literacy program, our Year 1 students were recently introduced to the colourful characters of the Mr Men and Little Miss books. Capturing the hearts and imaginations of our young learners, these books showcase stories and illustrations of colourful, lively characters that allow the students to immersive themselves in the tales of their favourite characters.

From the unfortunately accident-prone Mr Bump to the well-kept and composed Little Miss Neat, the vibrant personalities of the Mr Men and Little Misses have served as a bridge between literature and our students’ own experiences to foster a richer connection with reading.

To finish their unit, the students created and wrote about their own characters. Families can view the wonderful collection of original characters that are currently displayed on the Year 1 classroom windows.
