Primary Students Showcase Green Thumb Expertise at Council’s Tree Planting Day

Digging in as part of an initiative by the Gold Coast City Council, students from our Year 4 and Year 5 cohorts recently donned their gardening gloves and tools to take part in the NaturallyGC Landcare Planting Day. Located on the council land adjacent to the College, the enthusiastic gardeners helped to plant an impressive 2000 trees in one hour!

Gold Coast City Councillor, Mark Hammel, says that thanks to the help of volunteers like our students, 8000 trees have now been planted in the park as part of the Council’s rejuvenation project.
