Prep and Kindy 2022 NAIDOC Celebrations

Rivermount College Kindy and Prep students recently joined together to celebrate NAIDOC week with an array of cultural activities. Along with sculpting rainbow serpents out of clay, hand painting shirts and decorating boomerangs, students also enjoyed reading books about Indigenous culture and enjoying fried scones they had prepared. Every year, NAIDOC Week provides an opportunity for students to learn more about First Nations cultures and histories. This year’s 2022 NAIDOC Week theme, Get Up! Stand Up! Show Up! encourages all Australians to continue the momentum of change and strengthen the relationship between Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and non‑Indigenous Australians.
