'More than a word. Reconciliation takes action'

Reconciliation Australia’s theme for 2021, ‘More than a word. Reconciliation takes action’, delivers a powerful message that encourages all Australians to proactively seek real change. In its twentieth year of operation, the organisation is celebrating a remarkable journey aimed at strengthening the relationship between the broader Australian community and the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.

Education is a powerful change agent that provides the opportunity to improve cultural awareness and knowledge and facilitate a genuine connection built on respect and trust. Our students were fortunate this week to participate in an array of activities designed to promote a greater understanding and appreciation of Indigenous history and culture.
