In readiness for their role as leaders of the College next year, our Year 11 cohort recently enjoyed some valuable group time at Maranatha Recreation Camp. Located at Boulder Creek in the Gympie hinterland, the camp’s nature-focused ethos created the perfect atmosphere for relaxed team building activities and group initiatives.
As well as time in the pool and on evening bush walks, where students observed an abundance of nocturnal animal life, the campers were challenged to activities such as giant swings, rope courses and a command task. Working in teams, students also equalled the camp record of 18 stacked crates on the Tower of Tremble – an amazing group effort!
Being the first residential camp held for a Year 11 cohort of the College, we are proud to have had this group of exceptional students lay a positive foundation for future attendees. We look forward to seeing the cohort unite as our leaders next year.
