Honours Awards 2021
On Friday 15 October, we celebrated one of the many upcoming award ceremonies on the Term 4 calendar. The annual Honours Assembly recognises those students who have consistently demonstrated their commitment and excellence to the College Co-curricular Program. The awarding of Honours, as an adornment on the College blazer, is the highest non-academic award presented to a student at Rivermount College. On behalf of the College community we extend our congratulations to the following Senior Students that received an Honours Award for 2021:
- Holly Hudson, Year 12. Full Honours. Holly has excelled in the Performing Arts arena with her contribution and participation to the Drama program at the College and her involvement in the Queensland Theatre Young Artists Ensemble. Holly is also an active and integral member of the Beenleigh Yatala Chamber of Commerce Executive Team.
- Grace Prole, Year 12. Half Honours. Grace is known for her sporting achievements and passionate involvement in the College Environment Club, Debating, Mooting, STEM Club, and the LEOS Club. As College Community Captain and President of the SRC, she has been an active member of the senior cohort. Grace participated in Lions Youth of the Year in 2020.
- Dominic Van Breeman, Year 11. Half Honours. Since joining the College community, Dominic has made an extensive contribution to the sporting program through his involvement in GBC Cross Country, Swimming, Athletics, Volleyball, Futsal, and Soccer. At the age of 16, Dominic is already a member of the National Premier League and currently plays as the centre back for the Brisbane Strikers FC Men’s NPL side.
