National Tree Day is a call to action for all Australians to put their hands in the earth and give back to their community. Each year, about 300,000 people volunteer their time to engage in environmental activities that educate individuals about the world around them. It's a day to venture outdoors and get to know your community, and most importantly, to have fun!

As an initiative to rejuvenate the Riverwalk and in conjunction with National Tree Day, our Environment Club will be hosting a Tree Sale on Monday 2 August on the College Green. A selection of native seedlings will be sold in small biodegradable pots. Prices are $2.00, $3.00 and $5.00.
Plants purchased can be donated to the College's Environment Club, to be planted at the Riverwalk, or; you can plant these at home in your own garden.
National Tree Day has grown into Australia's largest community tree planting event. The goal is to see over one million new trees, grasses and shrubs planted each year throughout Australia.
