Developing our students into entrepreneurs of the future was the focus of two recent Secondary School events.
The Beenleigh/Yatala Junior and Senior Chamber of Commerce and Young Business Leaders breakfast was attended by four Year 11 students, Annabelle Ross, Amy Furness, Ethan Burnett and Melissa Magness. The students were able to pitch their business to their peers and to visiting keynote speaker Scott Millar, a local businessman and CEO of BOP Industries. The breakfast was hosted by our College Captain, Holly Hudson who is also the 2021 Junior Chamber President. Annabelle Ross and Amy Furness won the best pitch award for their business, “Simply My Skin”.
Our Year 9 cohort also attended a special business workshop incursion with Scott Millar where they were able to experience firsthand a glimpse into the world of an entrepreneur.
