Ellie hammers it at the State Championships

This month, Rivermount College Year 6 student, Ellie Leneham, will compete at the Australian Junior Track and Field Championships following her winning performance at the Queensland event held in March.

At the Queensland Athletics Championships, Ellie placed first in the Under 13 Hammer Throw and was awarded Queensland State Champion for this event. She also holds the Queensland state record. Adding to her repertoire of talent, Ellie also placed an impressive fourth in the discus and shotput events.
