To celebrate International Women’s Day, a select group of students from our Year 12 Leadership Team attended a breakfast at Club Beenleigh, hosted by Soroptimist International Beenleigh Inc. The event featured networking opportunities and discussions on gender equality and women’s leadership. Special guest speaker, Siobhan Wilson, Founder of Our Pixie Friends, captivated attendees with her inspiring story of resilience. At just 15 years old, Siobhan has already earned prestigious awards and recognition for her entrepreneurial spirit, compassion, and positive contributions to helping others.
Soroptimist International Beenleigh Inc. supports young women in reaching their full potential by fostering a spirit of equality, collaboration, empowerment, and making an impact locally and globally.
Our Year 8 students also acknowledged International Women’s Day through various activities aimed at challenging stereotypes and emphasising that gender should not define skills or career paths. During the day, our female students participated in robotics and coding, while the boys engaged in some Macrame crafting in Home Economics.
