The College proudly played host to the Brisbane Bullets this week when the NBL Club, and official Partner Rork Projects, launched the Indigenous Round commemorative jersey ahead of the home game on Monday 24 May.
The unique design, painted by the College's Indigenous Liaison Officer, Ms Janelle McQueen, artfully depicts the 40 Year history of the Bullets, with the main element being a warrior's shield and two spears, symbolising strength, speed and accuracy. Ms McQueen is well known as a local Indigenous artist and her expressive works are both intricate and uniquely symbolic.
Ms McQueen was joined by our College Principal, Mr Richard Young and an excited group of students who enjoyed the opportunity to shoot a few hoops with NBL players Jason Cadee and Tamuri Wigness. The group even took part in a Boomerang throwing lesson.
